My feisty calico, Pepper, has been begging to go outside and roam around. However, I am protected over my cat, and I couldn’t forgive myself if I allowed my cat to roam outside unsupervised, and something bad happens to her. So, a couple of weeks ago I found Adventures Cat Org Instagram. I noticed all the cats had a harness and leash, and their owners are canoeing, hiking, and trekking up mountains. I’ve never seen anyone walking their cat on a leash, and it’s a little strange. In fact, I’ve told people I want to walk my cat, and they look at me like I’m crazy!
But whatever! I eventually got a harness and leash, and I’ve been training her. It’s not easy, and it is still taking some time for her to adjust to a leash. As soon as she’s okay with walking on a leash I’m taking her hiking with me. 🙂
Today, I took her outside to explore my backyard and she seem thrilled!
